Davidson's Concrete Barrier (DCB) is a vehicle restraint system that is a lower maintenance and longer lasting alternative to conventional steel vehicle restraint systems. DCB is available in various profiles to suit specific applications and design requirements. The various profiles are listed below*.
DCB barrier systems are designed, tested and installed in compliance with EN1317; and are CE Marked in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
We have developed a complete concrete barrier vehicle restraint system including transitions to other barrier systems and structures, including expansion joints, sign and street lighting fixings, gates for emergency crossing points.
We are the UK's largest installer of Rigid Concrete Barrier (VRS).

Standard Barrier (DCB) - Double-sided safety barrier for central reserve.
Variable Barrier (VDCB) - Double-sided safety barrier for situations where the carriageway level varies up to a maximum of 400mm on either side of the barrier.
Wide Barrier (WDCB) - Double-sided safety barrier able to support lighting columns and other street furniture.
Wide and Variable Barrier (WVDCB) - Double-sided safety barrier able to support lighting columns and other street furniture in situations where the carriageway level varies up to a maximum of 400mm on either side of the barrier.
- Barrier on Bridge Decks (DCBBD) - This product is designed to cater for barrier installation on bridge decks. DCBBD is embedded into the pavement on a slip membrane; DCBBD incorporates a steel expansion joint into the body of the barrier to cater for longitudinal movement, differential transverse movement, differential vertical movement and rotational movement at bridge deck joints
